The night club where the fight between Drake and Chris Brown occurred might be shut down.
The Soho-based club, W.I.P., is facing 14 charges from the State Liquor Authority which could cause it to be closed for good.
According to the NY Post, the club was charged with seven charges over fights, noise violations, and two drug incidents.
SLA spokesman William Crowley told the Post:
They’re absolutely in jeopardy of losing their licenses. They have a number of prior charges, too, so that comes into play when we’re looking at taking action. It’s also reported that club representatives must reply to the charges by July 11th.
The bar has been charged in the past for selling alcohol to minors, as well as having an unlicensed security guard.
The fight between Drake and Chris only brought attention to investigating W.I.P.’s violations, but is not the only reason for their potential to be shut down.
We hope that this situation can be settled so that the club can continue to be a fun and safe place for partygoers.
